It helps to include your iPhone and Apple Watch models and the PitchForm version (in the app: You → Settings, at the bottom).

Recording

How do I record a match?

Open PitchForm on your Apple Watch and tap Start. Swipe right during the match for Half-time, Pause and End. At full time it's saved to Apple Health and shows on your iPhone once Health syncs. No Watch? Tap + on Home, choose Record on iPhone and strap your iPhone on.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. Record on iPhone gives you distance, sprints, speed and a heat map; heart rate and hard effort need a Watch. You can also log matches by hand, and they count toward your weekly goal and streak. Already use Apple's Workout app? Import those matches in You → Settings → Import from Apple Health.

Do I need my iPhone during the match?

No. Your Watch records on its own and saves the match to Apple Health. It shows on your iPhone once Health syncs, usually within a few minutes of your iPhone being nearby.

Why didn't my match show up?

Matches reach your iPhone through Apple Health, which syncs from your Watch when your iPhone is nearby and unlocked. Open PitchForm on your iPhone and give it a few minutes. If it still isn't there, go to Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → PitchForm and turn on Workouts, Workout Routes and Heart Rate.

Your numbers

Why is there no heat map?

A heat map needs GPS. Indoor turfs and roofs often block it, so you still get time and heart rate, but no heat map, distance or speed. Logged matches never have one. Played outdoors and still none? On your Watch, check Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → PitchForm is on, and on your iPhone, Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → PitchForm has Workout Routes on. A route can also reach your iPhone a little after the match; the heat map appears when it does.

How are my numbers worked out?

Every number, from sprints and hard effort to your usual, bests, Form and Trends, is explained in the app under You → Settings → How your numbers work.

Is PitchForm medical advice?

No. PitchForm is for fitness and training. Talk to a doctor about any health concern.

Matches

How do I add goals and the score?

Open the match and tap the result line. It says + Score until you fill it in.

Can I bring in matches from Apple's Workout app?

Yes. Go to You → Settings → Import from Apple Health. It finds football workouts from the last 90 days that aren't in PitchForm yet. Heart rate comes with them, and ones with a route get distance and a heat map.

I deleted a match. Will it come back?

No. A deleted match stays deleted, even if your Watch sends it again or it's in Apple Health. You can still bring it back on purpose from Import from Apple Health.

I got a new iPhone. Where are my matches?

Match records aren't kept in iCloud Backup, because they hold health data. Open PitchForm and use You → Settings → Import from Apple Health to bring back matches recorded on your Watch. Watch matches from the last two weeks usually come back by themselves.

Privacy

Does PitchForm send my data anywhere?

No. Your matches, heart rate and location stay on your iPhone and Watch, except one point of a match's route, which Apple Maps looks up to name your turf. PitchForm has no analytics or crash-reporting service. Read the full privacy policy.

Subscription

How do I cancel or change my subscription?

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions → PitchForm. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date and you won't be charged again; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. See Apple's guide: cancel a subscription from Apple.

I reinstalled PitchForm or got a new iPhone. How do I get my subscription back?

Sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Restore Purchases on the PitchForm subscription screen.

How do I ask for a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the PitchForm purchase.
