Privacy Policy

Effective 18 October 2026

PitchForm records your football matches on your Apple Watch and iPhone. Your matches stay on your devices. We don't collect them, we can't see them, and we never sell them.

In short
  • Everything PitchForm records stays on your iPhone and Apple Watch.
  • Nothing is sent to PitchForm or to any third party. There is no account, no analytics and no crash-reporting service in the app.
  • One point of each match's route is looked up with Apple Maps to name the place you played.
  • Place searches you type, and places near a match when you change where you played, are looked up with Apple Maps.
  • The map and satellite pictures of where you played are loaded from Apple Maps.
  • Health data is never sold, shared or used for advertising.
  • On the App Store, PitchForm's privacy label is Data Not Collected.

What PitchForm keeps on your devices

To show your stats, PitchForm stores these on your iPhone and Apple Watch:

Your Watch and iPhone pass matches to each other directly, through Apple Health and Apple's own Watch connection. They never pass through a PitchForm server; we don't have one.

Home Screen, Lock Screen and watch face widgets read a short summary of your week (match count, streak and your last match's distance, sprints and minutes), which stays on the device and is left out of iCloud Backup like your match records.

Location

PitchForm uses GPS on your Watch or iPhone only while a match is being recorded, to draw your heat map and work out distance and speed. The route is saved with the match on your devices and in Apple Health.

To name the place you played, PitchForm sends one point of a match's route to Apple Maps (Apple's MapKit reverse geocoding), which returns a place name such as a pitch or neighbourhood. That request goes to Apple, not to us, and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. Nothing else about the match is sent with it.

When you change or search for the place you played, PitchForm also asks Apple Maps: what you type is sent as a search, and opening the place picker looks up places near the match's location. The map and satellite pictures of the area where you played are loaded from Apple Maps too. These requests also go to Apple, not to us.

On Apple Watch you can record without Location. You still get time and heart rate, but no heat map, distance or speed. Recording on iPhone needs Location.

Apple Health

PitchForm asks for access to Apple Health so your Watch can save matches and your iPhone can read them. Health data stays in Apple Health on your devices. PitchForm never sends it anywhere, never sells it, never uses it for advertising or marketing, and never shares it with anyone.

What PitchForm reads from Apple Health

What PitchForm saves to Apple Health

FromSaved to Apple Health
Apple WatchEach match as a workout (with its halves), its route, and how hard it felt (workout effort). Apple's workout session adds heart rate, calories and distance to the workout as it records.
iPhoneMatches you record on your iPhone: the workout, its route, distance and active energy. Also how hard each match felt, when you rate or change it, so Training Load counts it.

You can change what PitchForm may read or write at any time in the Health app or in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → PitchForm.

Photos and camera

If you add a photo to a match, it's resized and kept in PitchForm on your iPhone. The camera is used only when you choose to take a photo. PitchForm saves share cards to your photo library only when you ask it to, and it can't see the rest of your library. When you share a card or invite a teammate, it goes where you send it through the iOS share sheet.

Notifications

The one reminder PitchForm sends, to add the score after a match, is scheduled on your iPhone. No push service is involved.

iCloud Backup

Apple doesn't allow personal health information to be stored in iCloud, so PitchForm excludes your match records and anything worked out from your health data from iCloud Backup. If you move to a new iPhone, use Import from Apple Health in PitchForm to bring back matches recorded on your Watch (Apple Health keeps its own encrypted copy). Matches you logged by hand, and scores and notes, don't come back from a backup. Photos you attach and ordinary settings are backed up with your iPhone as usual.

Deleting your data

Deleting a workout in Apple Health doesn't delete the match from PitchForm, because the match also holds your score and notes. Use Delete match, or delete the app.

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on our side. If you have a question, email us.

Children

PitchForm doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple through your Apple Account. We don't receive your name, email or payment details, and nothing about your purchase is sent to us by the app.

Changes to this policy

If PitchForm ever starts collecting data, we'll update this page and the App Store privacy label before that version is released, and change the date at the top.
